As such, sweet mustard may not be very surpising surprising (honey mustard is still quite popular in our time), but the very diversity of possible sweet ingredients could boggle you mind. What has caught my attention is an 18th-century recipe for mustard flavourd flavoured with pears and honey cake (a kind of gingerbread), which you will find at the end of this post.
